The year 2010 marks the centennial of Bjørnstjerne
Bjørnsons death. Bjørnson was the first Norwegian to be awarded the
Nobel Prize in literature. Through the Norwegian national anthem "Ja, vi
elsker", his words are still on everybody's lips. Combine your stay in
our cabins with a day of sightseeing through fantastick scenery with
mountains and waterfalls in Eijesdalen to Vickarage Nesset Prestegard.
Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson came to Nesset with his family as a five year old,
and grew up here. At Nesset we will have a guided tour, lunch in the
old "eldhus" with homemade bread and curved meat. The tour ends in
Molde. during the litteratur festival "Bjørnson festivalen". Bjørnson
went to middle scool in Molde, and the town has a "Bjørnson House". The
Bjørnsonfestival takes place between August and September every year,
and has many interesting arrangements.
